BOOK INFORMATION

Addingtons of the United States of American
by David Vern Addington
and
George Harcourt Bull

In 1992 when the 1920 U.S. census data became available, the two authors starting collecting more census data on their Addington lines. This later evolved into a project to collect all the available census data on Addingtons and an attempt to identify all the Addingtons listed. It is hoped that anyone who can identify their Addington ancestors in the 1920 census can then identify their appropriate Addington line. After several years and many revisions, the information has been compiled into a book of the collected data. This is more of a research project report than a book but contains much information that puts all of the Addington lines in perspective.

The book contains all the census data collected plus descendants lists for each of the Addington lines which includes the major lines of Henry and Sarah Addington, William Addington of Virginia, John Addington of Connecticut, the Maryland Addington line and several other smaller lines. A section discusses the known 21 Addington Immigrants who were born in England and later appear in American records or U. S. census records.

The book measures 8 1/2 by 11 and is approximately 295 pages in length. The book was privately published in August 1998. The hardback version of the book is out of print but the softback version is available for $24 (plus $2 for shipping). More information may be obtained and books may be ordered from one of the authors, David Addington, 19326 Foxtree Lane, Houston, TX 77094.
